Space Sheriff Sharivan
A direct sequel to Space Sheriff Gavan.
Space Sheriff Sharivan (宇宙刑事シャリバン, Uchū Keiji Shariban) is a Japanese Tokusatsu television series and the second entry in Toei's Metal Hero Series franchise. It aired on TV Asahi from March 4, 1983 to February 24, 1984, and is a direct sequel to Space Sheriff Gavan, featuring several returning characters. For distribution, Toei refers to the series as Space Guardian Shariban.
The story begins in Space Sheriff Gavan, where Den Iga is gravely wounded by the monster Buffalo Doubler, a member of the Space Mafia Makuu. Gavan finds Den and takes him to Planet Bird for medical treatment. Qom, leader of the Galaxy Federal Police, is impressed by Den's bravery. Den returns in Gavan's final episode, saving Gavan in his new form as Space Sheriff Sharivan during the final battle against Don Horror. After Don Horror's defeat, Sharivan is assigned to Earth and partnered with Lily from Planet Bird to combat the Madou Space Crime Syndicate.
